Skyline GT-R first, known as internal Nissan PGC10, released on February 4, 1969. tesedia initially as a four-door sedan after a public debut at the annual event at the Tokyo Motor Show 15. Successor KPGC10 it, KPGC110 these, released in 1973 after being introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show 1972. Nissan also produces the 100 model R32 Australia. This is the only non-Japanese Skylines only ever produced. There is also a 4WD version of the GTS-t Type M, called the GTS-4.

The R33 Skyline was introduced in August 1993. A little heavier than the R32, it is available in coupe and sedan bodystyles. All models are now using 6-cylinder engine. Nissan took the unusual step of down-grading for only GTS models RB20E, while the twin-cam of the R32 GTS ceased as 2.0 L turbo RB20DET.

Generation 11 (V35) Nissan Skyline, introduced in June 2001, based on Nissan's FM platform, shared with the Nissan 350Z. On 13 May 2008, Nissan announced that a convertible variant of the Infiniti G37 (Skyline coupe U.S. Spec) will be produced for model year 2009.
