American Idol Top 5 To Tackle Songs Of The 60s and "Now"

Can you feel it people? Can you FEEL the excitement growing all around you as "American Idol" gears up to present the Top 5 tonight? Of course you can! Everyone is itching to see these talented singers do their thing out there on stage. We're especially excited to see James Durbin... because, well, because he is totally freaking awesome.

SEE: Tween-agers pick Lauren Alaina to win American Idol

But maybe you prefer Lauren "Little Lost Lamb" Alaina or Jacob "I'm Going Home This Week" Lusk or Haley "Sweet Growler" Reinhart or Scotty "Deep Throat" McCreery. They're all bound to be pretty darn good... even the ones we don't really like. But maybe you're asking yourself, hmmm... what is the theme on the show tonight? Well we have the answer for you. Okay answers. They're each going to be singing two songs - so hopefully this means none of those cringe-inducing duets - 1. The 60s and 2.  The "Now".

CHECK OUT: American Idols Live! Tour details

We're guessing the NOW means current chart hits... but they weren't exactly clear about this. Still, it will really show off their abilities to deliver classic tunage and also really, really show the kind of artist they'll be out there in the real marketplace. Oh and BTW the amazing Sheryl Crow is going to be joining the very cool Jimmy Iovine for the rehearsal sessions. Should be a great show tonight!
