Tweens Pick Lauren Alaina To Win American Idol Season 10

The kids have spoken! Yup, those hyper-texting pre-teeny boppers who we all know are REALLY in charge of who's going to win "American Idol" season 10 have been polled weekly by popular online game Franktown Rocks about the results -- and they've nailed it virtually every time. Take last week’s Idol results for example. The tweens (kids ages 8-12) voting not only predicted who would be in the bottom three, they correctly picked who would be sent home.

“Tweens are a generation that consumes music like no generation before them,” says Franktown Rocks founder and CEO Rob Solberg. “And they’re very plugged in. So it’s not too much of a surprise to us that they keep getting it right week after week.”

Now that this season of American Idol is down to just 6 contestants who do tweens say will win the whole thing? In an online poll Franktown Rocks asked their visitors “Who do you hope wins American Idol this season?” and over 15,000 kids responded. They have a clear-cut winner in mind.

Leading the poll by a wide margin is Lauren Alaina, the 16-year old "lost little lamb" from Georgia with the country twang. In second place is 20-year old Casey Abrams, the quirky, bearded bass-playing contestant who only made it into the Top 10 because of the judges save. And if the tweens get it right again, it looks like next week Jacob Lusk will be sent home. Well hurrah for that at least!
