At 37 years old supermodel and reality television personality Heidi Klum easily remains one of the most beautiful women in the world. And so it's fitting then that she will be featured in a new PSA for Stand Up To Cancer that will appear first in People magazine's World's Most Beautiful issue hitting the newsstands tomorrow April 15, 2011.

"If you don't want to be OUT, you can be IN by joining me and the Stand Up to Cancer movement in the fight against cancer. Let's all say Auf Wiedersehen to cancer together!" said Klum.
Klum brings her supermodel glamour to the fight against cancer, posing in a grey SU2C sweatshirt in the PSA, photographed by Rankin. Sweatshirts similar to the one worn by Klum can be purchased for $45.00 at the SU2C store here: http://bit.ly/su2cshirt, with net proceeds going directly to support collaborative cancer research by multidisciplinary "Dream Teams" of scientists.

The PSA's message, "It's Up 2 All of Us to Stand Up To Cancer," conveys the importance of collaboration. With one in two men and one in three women in the U.S. diagnosed with cancer in their lifetimes, the campaign calls on everyone to stand together to change those dire odds.
"We're deeply grateful for Heidi's support," said Laura Ziskin, the Stand Up To Cancer co-founder who produced SU2C's two major broadcast fundraising specials. "Not only is she a gorgeous model for our sweatshirt, but she's drawing on her beauty to raise awareness for cancer, in one of the most-read magazine issues of the year. Heidi understands first-hand the hell cancer wreaks in families and friends. We hope others will be inspired by Heidi to take a stand for their loved ones and join the fight against cancer. Purchasing one of these sweatshirts is a very simple way to do that, as all of the net proceeds go directly to fund research."

Stand Up To Cancer's innovative approach to research is designed to eliminate barriers that have traditionally inhibited creativity and collaboration by enabling the best and brightest investigators from leading institutions across the country and internationally to work together. Five SU2C collaborative "Dream Teams" are pursuing the most promising research, accelerating the discovery of new therapies for cancer patients and advancing efforts in cancer prevention research. Stand Up To Cancer also awards Innovative Research Grants to individual investigators pursuing high-risk, potentially high-reward cancer research.
